You forget that Wilson refused to back the US over Vietnam. He did the right thing and the country suffered because of US economic reprisals. Blair did the wrong thing.

Haha,yes,ok i was being a bit nationalistic there..he was a great British prime minister.As you say richard,since world war 2,we will back the U.S. as much as we can,and quite right,they saved our arse ultimately from Hitler and we should never forget that,and i sometimes feel the rest of Europe should show some more respect to the united states as well.

Blair was prime minister of the united kingdom,thats England,Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland not just England! I agree its not realley fair to say he was a puppet of the united states,beacause all british prime ministers since world war 2 are the same!

Tony was a great english prime minister..he really cares about his country.Slated for being george bush`s puppet,absolute rubbish..what english prime minister wouldnt of backed the american president..none.He is a practising christian who dug deep into his soul to follow what he believed was right for the security of the free world in the 21st century.In future history books it will be deemed the right thing to have done.

Biography
Anthony Charles Lynton Blair (born 6 May 1953) is a former British Labour Party politician who served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2 May 1997 to 27 June 2007. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sedgefield from 1983 to 2007 and Leader of the Labour Party from 1994 to 2007. He resigned from all of these positions in June 2007.
