I am reading a book of Hill`s and i think he is a great person in the book Letter to a young sister and WOW he is a great man ..and women are blessed to have a male figure so intelligent and sucessful..just want you to know i think highly of you

I must say, I just finished Hill`s recent book... The Conversation and it was a refreshingly easy read. He gave great insight for BW and BM to create lasting relationships and to begin rebuilding our crippling families. I have to disagree with the previous comment (NYC Mom). I could see if Harper gave only his POV but he did his foot work and provided us with a range of different view points. I have to agree with the other comment as far as his single status being a distraction. Because he is a successful devistatingly handsome brotha who has women around him all the time. It IS time for him to be completely apart of the solution.

I read the book and found it to be superficial at best. I thought that it was going to get into the real issues that black women and men are facing everyday. Unfortunately, Hill doesn`t really have a clue about the issues the average black man and women face as he does not have the background to understand what goes on in the trenches. It was a good white washed attempt though

I just finished The Conversation and truly enjoyed it. Hill did an excellent job with the writting and also the circle of friends input was right on point. It gave me a better perspective on how to view my husbands thoughts and to listen before speaking. I have reommended it to all my family and friends to read.

I am reading the book now and I am really enjoying Hill`s views. I like that he is putting it out there. I like that he observed his grandparents. I observed mine too - they were married for 65 years and they were best friends until the end. They talked and they liked each other. They are a hard act to follow. Great writing Hill. I can`t wait to finish the book. This would be a great book club book for men and women together. Why don`t we start them and call it the conversation - should be singles, married couples, etc - to get mixed views. Let`s talk people.

Ok, I believe the girl you are looking for who is the Nichole in Hill`s book. Is the girl with the yellow jacket in a photo that`s on google. He seems so happy with her. Hey, Hill if that`s the Nichole, I happy that you have found someone and you are happy. Your book was an awesome read. I recently read, The Conversation by Hill Harper. I was a great book. It made me reflect on my personal views about black men/women in relationships. A friend of mine indtroduced me to the book because he and some friends were getting together to discuss the book in detail. He invited me the their Conversation Party and it was great. I has a sense of what Hill was doing when he researched and interviewed different people for the book. It was great sitting and talking with other black men/women and getting their insight on love, relationships, and marriage in the African American community. As I stated before, the book was great and I really appreciated Hill Harper for bringing this issue to the fore front.

Jacqueline does it offend you that he dates black women? I think she was saying to continue to. This is what he says in his book... I won`t discourage anyone from trying something new. However, I would encourage us to not give up on one another. Believe me, there are millions of brothas out there, myself included, who love Black women, cherish Black women, and greatly appreciate all the beauty, nurturing, and companionship that our amazing Black women have to offer. And I know there are so many sistahs out there who love and appreciate a kind, considerate brotha of high character. (pg. 165)

When I started watching CSI New York i thought that Hill Harper was so hot, but know, after investigating and reading two of his books, I think that he is a terrific person, itīs good to know that this actor is not like other superficial actors. I LOVE HIM.

i love Hill Harper for his intellect and his soft spoken manner. i think he is a wonderful role model for ALL young men. however, i found that whoever wrote please stay with the sistahs was extremely offensive. as a bi-racial women who is in touch with both sides of my ethnicity, i would hope that one day, this world would not see color and just see the person within. i know that realisticly, that is a long way off, but comments like that do not help. be with someone you connect with and love within...not because of the color of their skin. hopefully one day color won`t matter. Blessings to Hill and all you do.

Show as well as on a popular radio show, concerning your new book, Conversation I want to know the people that you interviewed where in the country are they from did you only speak to people in a particular area, or did you go across the country and speake to a diverse of people, and would you date someone that isn`t holloywood,,,

You are a breath of fresh air and evidence that there are still good black men in this world.
