Tate Chalk (born November 9, 1968), is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the first women’s sport-specific footwear company, Nfinity Athletic Corporation. In 2003, Chalk founded Nfinity Athletic Corporation in Orlando, Florida; the growing firm moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2006, producing specialty shoes for cheerleading. The firm expanded to other sports subsequently.
Chalk began at Furman University playing football in Greenville, South Carolina. After a year, Chalk transferred to the University of South Carolina, Columbia and began cheerleading when his football career came to an end due to injury. Chalk also studied at the University of Kentucky, but then returned to the University of South Carolina, Columbia where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Years later, Chalk continued his education at the Harvard Business School and completed the Executive OPM Program in 2012.
After college, Tate Chalk moved out to Los Angeles, California in 1999 to become a Hollywood Actor.
Chalk returned to the east coat and began coaching the USC squad, teaching summer camps and owning cheer gyms. Then in 2003, he developed a spring-floor cheerleading shoe for women—Nfinity.
