I saw George dancing with Nana Mouskouri I knew he was Greek and I love watching him dance so elegant and he is very handsome I am his age and born the same month and I don`t look my age may be because I am Greek too..wish him the best

Met George Chakiris in England when he was appearing as Mr. Rochester in Jane Eyre. Had always been a fan of his from West Side Story. He is truly a wonderful man and very friendly and considerate towards everyone he meets. Wishing him all the best in all his future endeavors.

As soon as I saw west side story I absolutely fell in love with George chakiris! Not just his looks but his incredible ability to act and dance. All my friends fancy him soooooo bad and I recon he looks pretty good for his age! Always in my heart George

We just attended a showing of West Side Story in the Chicago area last weekend and George, Rita Moreno, and Russ Tamblyn made personal appearances. We could not believe how good George Chakiris looked. We said surely that`s not him, that`s his son or something. My friend was able to shake his hand and she said that even up close he still looks incredibly young for his age.

I just saw George Chakiris in Burbank and he is really nice. It`s so nice when stars do not disappoint. Can`t believe he`s 75, never would have thought so meeting him.

For some reason, yesterday, I was thinking of George and just a few minutes ago I saw his pic on cracked.com. Anyway, for me...West Side Story was a George Chakiris movie. I never liked musicals but it`s the only on I was because of George. I hope he`s doing well.

I saw George Chakiris when he appeared in West Side Story and just last weekend saw him in White Christmas. He has always been a favorite of mine. Yes, I had a crush on him also, he has a beautiful face and he can dance! I wish I could meet him and tell him how much I have enjoyed his talent and how I dreamed of meeting him. Love you George...

George is one of my favorites of all time. I just watched Kings of the Sun several days ago and it was great. When I see George in older movies, it makes me appreciate actors such as he even more. I DO NOT go to todays movies. Give me an oldie anytime. George may be older today, but he certainly is one of the best. I still have a crush on him even today.

I was madely in love with George Chakiris; as a young girl, I plastered my bedroom walls with tons of his photos from movie magazines. Just recently, I discovered that he is gay. Isn`t it funny that so many years later in my life, it gave me a sinking feeling. He was my hero. I still love him and think him to be the most beautiful person on the planet!!

George Chakiris (born September 16, 1934) is an American dancer, singer and Academy Award-winning actor. He is best known for his appearance in the film version of West Side Story as Bernardo, the leader of the Sharks gang.
