Jared Francisco Borgetti Echeverría (born 14 August 1973) is a retired Mexican footballer. Borgetti is the all-time leading goal scorer for the Mexican national team, with 46 goals. A prolific goal scorer at club level, Borgetti is renowned for his heading ability. He is popularly known by his nickname of El Zorro del Desierto meaning "The Desert Fox" due to his first professional team and his birthplace. He is currently an analyst for ESPN Deportes for soccer matches and show Fútbol Picante.
