According to the Good Book Guide, Chris Simms "has never shown any reluctance to chill the blood of the reader." Born in 1969, Horsham, West Sussex. Chris graduated from Newcastle University then travelled round the world before moving to Manchester in 1994. Since then he’s worked as a freelance copywriter for advertising agencies throughout the city. The idea for his first novel, Outside the White Lines (2003) came to him one night when broken down on the hard shoulder of a motorway. Staccato chapters alternate between viewpoints of The Searcher, The Hunter and The Killer - each character roaming the roads of Britain in pursuit of his own obsessive agenda. (Jessica Mann in the Literary Review said Simms was one to watch after this debut novel.)
