She is the voice of Edna `E` Mode, with her funny French accent, in the Italian dubbed version of _The Incredibles_(2004)

Beginning early in her career, Amanda Lear was rumoured to be transsexual. This is absolutely untrue but the rumour lingers on today.

She has had a successful career in Italian tv. Amongst her tv programs "Premiatissima" (1983), "Viva le donne" (with Andrea Giordana ), "Il Brutto anatroccolo", "Cocktail d`amore" (with Balestri).

Amanda was born in Hong Kong from an English-French father and a Asian-Russian mother. She later moved to Europe. She studied at the Saint Martin`s college in London and later became a successful singer. Besides being Salvador Dalí`s protégée she also became David Bowie`s lover.

Amanda Lear was told by her mentor Salvador Dalí to pretend to be man. The rumor still goes on today and Amanda played with it throughout her career.

Now lives in south of France.

During the 60s painter Salvador Dalí was her companion.

Is the model with the black panther on the cover of the Roxy Music album, "For Your Pleasure."

Was once engaged to Roxy Music lead singer Bryan Ferry.
