Before hooking up with the handsome 31-year-old billionaire heir, Andrea dated British actor Shaun Evans for four years. Before that, she was involved with music manager Giles Baxendale.
In late 2000, Andrea`s fallow period ended when she met Giles Baxendale through a mutual friend. The relationship blossomed over the dinner with a group of friends at La Stampa Restuarant. The couple had a ball togetherand, for once, Andrea felt she had found someone outside of her family circle with whom she could be honest.
Just after Christmas, they enjoyed a fortnight together in Bali and, on St. Valentine`s weekend, she and Giles went skiing in Austria. She was delighted when Giles accompanied her to her sister Sharon``s wedding to barrister Gavin Bonnar, shortly after the death of her mther, Jean.
"Everything`s nicer if if you feel in love. I probably have more energy for what we do, I`m more relaxed. He brings me back to being Andrea Corr, in Dundalk, in my garden", she said at the height of the romance.
"Thats the way I feel. Before him, I`d go home to a hotel room and I would be thinking of the next day or of what happened that day. But, now I just forget about it. We do Top of the Pops and leave it - and go out to dinner. And I`m sitting at dinner and the stress just goes. Being with him is like reading Harry Potter".
The Sun reports on December 6th 2001 that Andrea Corr of The Corrs is revealing being with boyfriend Giles Baxendale is “like reading Harry Potter.” The manager of pop stars is helping Andrea chill out and forget her celebrity lifestyle as she admitted, “Before him I never really left the job behind.”
Ending the relationship after almost two years was difficult and, typically involved much sole searching.
"To me, it just felt for a long time like: "This is not right." towards the end of that relationship, there were too many questions and doubts. But then. I felt we weren`t right for each other.
