David and Sophia were still together when she started on Moonlight but she did a stupid thing and put her career before the man she professed to love and want children with. She treated him appalingly when his mum died, she wasn't interested, only interested in her own career in the US. She screwed that up big time. And if she and Brent truly have split, he's had a lucky escape!

I never understood why Alex O'loughlin never found Sophia attractive. They had this unbelieveable chemistry together onscreen and offscreen. It's just sad, I think they would have made a wonderful couple. Some say it is because Alex is like George C., goes from one relationship to the next. Just read he is in a serious relationship now, some think it will last, but not sure it he will marry.

I seem to find some of these comments rude, for instance the one stating He would not have her if she begged ... If about Alex O`Loughlin, janine, who makes you the authority? Alex was with Holly Valance when ML was shooting and we see where that went. I feel that Alex still remains friends with Sophia. Would love to see Alex have a true romantic relationship. I agree with Sophia, statement on relationships too.

Cont..: I remember reading an interview with Sophia not long after that happened and she said something along the lines of `Real relationships function wherever you are in the world. I don`t agree with that at all. A real relationship is spending as much time TOGETHER as you possible can, particularly in such a tough business that requires you to be away so much. How can there be a relationship when, as in their case, they would literally never have seen each other?. I think that was selfish of her to assume. I feel bad even discussing such personal matters of theirs and none of us will ever know the truth, but that is my take on things.

Mfapsj - I don`t know how you can know that `for a fact` . And it paints a biased picture of what was occuring. If her TV show had continued, she could have been out in LA for years, working 6 day weeks..When on earth would they have seen each other? If I was in his position and my boyfriend did the same thing, it would suggest to me that his career was far more important to him than me. It was an incredibly hard time for David, and would have been a time when he needed those closest to him more than ever. If my boyfriend was suffering in the same way he would have been, I would have done anything to have been by his side. That`s what relationhips are. .

She was scarcely waiting around in Cardiff all the time. She filmed Hallam Foe and also that Viking film, meaning she was away earning her living, practising her craft, r months at a time. She also did PR for Hallam Foe at a couple of film festivals. So don`t run away with the idea that Poor Sophia was a doormat for DT. She worked, as is right, during their relationship. If she really doesn`t know why it ended, that might just indicate that she`s rather egotistical, not reflective enough. There were clearly reasons, even though mere fans like us are not likely to know them.

Don`t turn around the facts Brendan. While it is true that she was the one leaving for the show he called things off only a few weeks after she left and before her show even aired. And at that time all the signs in the business for Moonlight were on orange - failure. The relative success of the show only started after it aired. So that aspect certainly doesn`t count. Plus, Sophia`s been patiently waiting for him during all the time he was shooting Doctor Who in Wales. While Wales isn`t LA, agreed, she had been for months taking the back seat. Anyway, I know for a fact that she to this day doesn`t understand why he called it off - even though he apparently had his reasons - and the experience seriously broke her heart.

LOL Davo!! That`s Charles Dance, and that is NOT a recent pic of him... More like 10 years ago!! He could be her Great Grandad!!! LOL. He is one of those Has Been`s who is desperately trying to hang on to his past... As an actor, he just plays the same charactor over and over again. No wonder the only work he can find is when he strips down to his birthday suit for 10 seconds out of the WHOLE movie! I`m scarred for life on that bit!!

While I would agree with you Shaun that Sophia is beautiful, she is the one who left him. No one can fault her for pursuing her career but really she couldn`t expect him to wait for her...what if her tv show was a hit and went on for 10 years? When would they get to see each other with their work schedules and the geographic distance between them? There is an 8 hour time difference between California and the UK.
