I knew Yul in the early 70`s when I was about 22. He taught me to be a refined, educated woman and influenced my life greatly. We were together for only a short time but since I have compared every man in my life to him and found them lacking. Perhaps that is why I`ve been married 4 times!

I thought Yul was born in 1915 the same year as Orson Wells and they died on the same day in 1985 aged about 70.

Yul Brynner, was in the King and I and that is a very good movie. So good I could die. (Get it? He died in the movie. And he did his character so many times. Guess how many exceteras that was!

I Knew Yul the last 10 years of his life. The woman that he talk most of was Marilyn Monroe. Yul was never a monogamous guy. He loved women and they loved him back. The women he married knew he couldn`t be tied down, he let that be known right up front.

Yul Brynner (Russian: , Julij Borisovic Briner; July 11, 1920 Ц October 10, 1985) was a Russian-born American actor of stage and film. He was best known for his portrayal of Mongkut, king of Siam, in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The King and I, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor for the film version; he also played the role more than 4,500 times on stage. He is also remembered as Rameses II in the 1956 Cecil B. DeMille film The Ten Commandments, General Bounine in Anastasia and Chris Adams in The Magnificent Seven. Brynner was noted for his distinctive voice and for his shaven head, which he maintained as a personal trademark long after adopting it for his initial role in The King and I. He was also a photographer and the author of two books.
