I just watched Purple Rain again I haven`t seen it since I was a kid. I just looked her up wondering what happened to her. I`m so proud to know that she is Mexican American.

Apollonia has since denied she has ever dated Prince.The relationship was promoted for the sake of the movie.During Purple Rain Prince was dating Sheila E. and then Wendy`s sister Susannah.

i am 46 and have a 25 yr old daughter name marquita, she was supposed to be named apollonia vanity davis, i was such a big fan of prince and still is i was preg, in 84 with her and stood in the line here in b-more for 1and half hr, my baby dad left he said hell with prince, i stayed and after the movie i was determined to name her apollonia vanity but instead i let her daddy name her she said mom y didnt u override him i like apollonia and vanity i said girl i was so in luv with him i did anything he asked me 2. and thats all i have 2 say about that name change. ms. mack b-mores finest .

Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Kotero on August 2, 1959, in Santa Monica, California) is an actress, singer, former model and talent manager of Mexican descent. She is perhaps best known for co-starring in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and for having been the lead singer in the girl group Apollonia 6.
