hey bethany, im a year 9 this year and we are doing an auto-biography on a hero and i hav picked yuh. do yuh hav ny good info about yuh that i could put on??? listen up Nobody gives a crap Bethany Hamilton is a wonderful girl and you are acting like a five year old. If anybody got there arm bitten off by a shark while surfing and never tried it again, then yeah they would not be a hero or famous. But this wonderful girl, Bethany, had the courage and strenght to getr back on the boarsd. so you ignorant person needs to stoop saying this crap about her!

Bethany Meilani Hamilton (born February 8, 1990), daughter of Thomas and Cherilyn Hamilton, is an American surfer. She is known for surviving a shark attack in which she lost her left arm, and for overcoming the serious and debilitating injury to return to professional surfing. She wrote about her experience in the 2004 biography Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board. In April 2011, the feature film Soul Surfer was released, based on the book and additional interviews.
