I'm not slamming her at all... I've just never heard of her. It seems to me that she's more famous for her lovers than she is for anything she's done. But then, I was into Industrial & Gothic music at that time. I apologize to anyone reading this who may be a fan - it's just simply my opinion based on my lack of knowledge of her.

I saw Pobi a few times - the best was when she had opened up for the Village People - this was somewhere around 1991 or so. I simply could not believe her voice - this was just after she had transitioned from the dance-music that helped her break into the music scene to her more industrial-goth thing. Me and my boyfriend thought it was pretty cool in a heavy serious kind of way. What happened to this girl? Besides dating one-and-a-half hunks as stated here - sorry, Mark`s not my style, but I remember Pobi covering one of Billy`s songs back then, I think that it was Blue Highway ala The Ministry - very vibey. Maybe she retired to Transylvania - I remember her Gary-Oldman in Dracula kind of hair.

I met Pobi two years back at a New Year`s party in Boston where the house band for the night was Aerosmith. She sang one tune with the band after Steve Tyler prodded her from the stage, saying that she had the best set of pipes that nobody hears anymore. They did a bluesy version of Rock and Roll by Led Zeppeling and, I have to say, it ROCKED! I`ve got a photo of her and her family toasting with Joe Perry from that night. Best New Years party in my 33 years! Talented girl. What happened to her??

I met Pobi at my brother`s pub in Monroe, N.Y. last year. She was with George Clooney. They were both very nice when I went up to them. I had seen her years ago at a local gig and she had autographed my chest. I asked her if she would autograph me again, and she did!

Tammy Pobi is a Canadian dance artist from Quebec. She was firstly known because of her appearance on Electric Circus, a dance music show that aired for some time on the Toronto channel CityTV and then on Muchmusic. Her song “Dance With Me” became popular in 1988. Another singles were “I Found The Way” and “I Wanna Be”.
Some years later, she released a remake of Real Life's hit "Send Me An Angel". Her version was a euro-house stomper, and she released an album that followed the same vein, with touches of electro as well.
An internet search indicates she dated Mark Wahlberg in 1997.
