Biography
Sheila Lussier
I was born in La Mesa, CA. I spent most of my youth in El Cajon, CA. I grew up riding horses and competing in horse shows and parades! I won 1st place in the San Diego, Columbus Day parade, when I was only 12 years old. This was along side my best friend Daylayna Payseno. We were asked to come back the following year to be the Grand Marshall’s of the parade, of course we did... Those were fun times!
I started modeling as a child doing national campaigns, fashion shows, print work, and TV commercials. When I was 12, I moved to Los Angeles. This made it easier to book additional jobs. Most of my time was spent between my mother`s two friends homes. Her friends were Kitty Stuart, who lived in Bel Air & The Doheny Estate`s and Brenda Seymore, who lived in the Valley. They are both in the Entertainment Business. I continued my modeling and acting career while attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Doing that during the day allowed me to continue my acting classes at night.
At the age of 20, I became a Playboy model. I continued working with the agency for a long time although I didn`t want to be a centerfold because it would have limited the commercials that I was able to book. I did enjoy working for the agency, though, it was like a family. When my agent Irena passed away it was devastating for all of the girls. Soon after I switched agencies.
I have been busy throughout the 80`s and 90`s and presently doing so many jobs in TV, film, trade shows, and print- work. Back in the day, I basically had a bag of bathing suits in the car and was ready to work at all times...lol... I am even a poster pin up girl and calendar model. I had a lot of friends and we all work together all of the time. This was a great way to afford to raise my children!
At times, I did stunt work on various films and TV shows. Later, I found myself very fond of being behind the camera, as I worked on various videos as a set decorator and stylist.
In the 90`s, I began writing articles and covering various music and entertainment pieces. This included shooting the photos too. In the late 90`s, I started to produce live events for major companies such as Reebok. We traveled to various locations and I had a team working for me.
In 2001, while recovering from a car accident, I wrote a booklet called, "How to get your children into show-biz!" Using all my 20 year experience as well as my children`s!
In 2003, I started a decorating business called Image Interiors. I have worked for such companies as Amgen, Enterprise Rental car, and UCLA Santa Monica Medical towers as well as high end estates, hotels, and country clubs. I have managed to do all this and maintaining my acting and modeling career. Soon I moved on to produce my first Documentary in 2005. During this documentary, I was co-directing and starting my video camera work.
At present, I am working on various types of projects that showcase all areas of my talent. I have even managed to raise my three beautiful children throughout this very full career and have always remained very active in their lives. I am fondly referred to as, "the soccer mom!."
Seeing as I am always trying to mix things up, I guess you could say that I am always looking for a new challenge!
