Milbradt began producing films in 2001 and expanded into television in 2006. On the television front she began with IFC's first scripted series called The Festival. Having achieved both critical and rating success, IFC renewed the series as a spin-off, The Business, for two subsequent seasons. It starred Kathleen Robertson (Boss, Murder in the First), guest starred Jason Lewis (Sex in the City), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development), and Joe Flaherty (SCTV). Feature Film: Hatley High won Best Director and Best Screenplay at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival. The success of the film at the Hampton's Film Festival led to a meeting with IFC who wanted to use Milbradt's indie film business model to produce television, leading to the above mentioned series. Another film, Who Is KK Downey? instantly became a film festival darling winning numerous awards. John Anderson of Variety included it on his list of "Top 10 Undistributed Films of 2008" for Indiewire (it went on to receive theatrical distribution), and Mariko McDonald at Film Threat: "(it) is what most indie comedies aspire to be. This Movie Is Broken, written by Tony Award winning writer Don McKellar wove a love story through a reunion concert of Metric, Feist, and Broken Social Scene, and was directed by Bruce McDonald of Hard Core Logo fame. It premiered at SXSW.
When located in LA, Milbradt worked for CAST - Coalition Against Slavery and Trafficking and WISH while on location in Vancouver - a drop-in center for women surviving the sex industry. In New York, she is an active CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocate - for foster children.
