Have just seen Elliot on the stage in London as Lord Goring in An Ideal Husband. What an actor! i could have watched him alone forever. He stole the show. By the way I have watched Lost in Austen nearly 100 times and I do not recall him CRYING so I do not know what "crying scene" is being referred to by someone who has posted a comment

Just watched the most enthralling adaptation of Macbeth at the Globe. Very dramatic, sensitive, amsuing and Cowan was magnificent as Macbeth - truly talent and it has to be said hunky actor.

Why does none of this credit his theatre performances? He was a stunning Leantio in the RSC`s `Women Beware Women` and is apparently equally striking in the Globe`s new `Macbeth`. Real actors don`t make their names only on film or TV.

Well, I found out about him through Lost in Austen as Mr. Darcy, and of course fell in love with him. In my case I guess he is too young. Well, what are 10 years after all???

Oops! Did I just call you Colin? If so, forgive me. It`s only because I had to look up Firth`s name to tell a good friend that YOU are the better Darcy! (What can I say? My brain doesn`t fire on all pistons like it once did.) Anyway... you are so much fun to watch in Lost in Austen . I`ll be requesting your other films from Netflix!

Colin, you are truly divine as Darcy. And Lost in Austen is wonderful - one of the few shows that I enjoy watching multiple times. Thanks for the fine entertainment!

Will you all please cease to spell Jane Austen`s surname in the fashion of `Aust*i*n`! It`s a shame, that everyone here doesn`t seem to get it that the film is called Lost in Austen! And me being from Germany knowing it right... Sorry, I couldn`t possibly stand it any longer to see my favourite author`s name misspellt. I quite agree with you on the behalf of Elliot Cowan, though.

It`s rare to find a male actor whose emotions can be read so powerfully from a profile (side angle). That scene in Lost in Austin, where he`s braced for the truth from Amanda`s backstory, and realises he can`t marry her after all because she`s not a maid - he`s already upset, but you can see the very moment his heart breaks. Now THATS a character actor! Can`t wait to see him in other roles now!
