Even my husband used to watch HGTV with me. We enjoyed learning how to little repairs around the house, decorate, and garden on a budget. Last timed I tuned in all that was left was cheaply made so-called "reality" shows, and House Hunters and House Hunters International. TLC is just as bad. I find what I like on the internet now.

I used to loveeeee watching the show! The old shows what's all I ever watch. I agree with everyone is all about buying or selling a house. Is not fun anymore. I turn in in hopes to find some old shows but it's all gone!! You've lost so many viewers. Your lost!! Fire all those idiots that are running the network

I thought I was alone until I read these posts. HGTV used to be my go-to channel. Now, it's just real estate and even the few design shows left play out like reality TV. So sad to see the decline.

Loved Decorating Cents with Joan. I really wonder what happened to programming on HGTV. When Dan lost to Antonio it was like the final straw for me. I still watch Design on a Dime and a few other of the older shows but the only thing new is John with the Curb Appeal the Block show. I guess the HGTV as we knew it is gone for good and that just makes me very sad. It is like the the network has been taken over by idiots!!!

I LOVED ALL THE OLDER SHOWS. DON'T WATCH WHATS ON NOW. DECORATING CENTS WAS GREAT. I MISS JOAN.

If the 'powers that be' at HGTV would read these comments, they would realize that their programming is awful and not what the basic viewer/of channels such as HGTV, want to see. I hardly ever watch anymore..............and I use to have HGTV on from morning until bedtime!!! Their loss!!!

YES!!! Please bring back something other than these boring RE shows. Don't watch HGTV. I used to have it on all morning - Decoring Cents and Room By Room. That TV was WORTH watching!!

please bring back Decorating Cents WITH Joan and Room By Room. I agree enough of the real estate, lets get back to redoing what we have,not all of us can afford to buy in this economy. HGTV get back to the shows we all love and the reason we watch or used to watch. The current line up is not worth turning on.

I wrote HGTV a few years back when I started to see the change in the programming - I miss what attracted me to HGTV - I don't need to see Multi Million Dollar apartments in NYC - Come on get back to the real basics and watch your ratings increase - and I really feel they took the gardening (the G) out of HGTV - At least think about what people are making comments on -

I eally do not like the new lay out of shows on hgtv.I loved the decorating cents, small spaces,country living.I don't watch much of it now since it is all sell, new york sell,it is just not fun anymore to watch.

I too agree. I used to love to watch HGTV. Now all that is on is how to buy, sale or redo a house to sale. I actually dislike the channel now. It used to be on in my home at least 8 hours a day. I loved Room by Room, Decorating Cents and even some of the craft shows. Return to your Roots HGTV. Your viewers were happier then. You taught normal people how to do amazing things with their. homes

I agree with eveyone else. I used to watch HGTV all of the time but now it is a real estate channel instead of a decorating channel. I really miss Decorating Sense and all of the other shows. I still watch Sarah Richardson and Candice when they are on but that is about it.

HGTV use to be the only thing I ever watched. I loved Decorating Cents, Room by Room and Kitty Bartholomew. Now, everytime I go to HGTV, the only show is House Hunters! Bring back the real HGTV decorating shows. Joan.....where are you....please come back!!!

Huge mistake HGTV. I looked forward everyday to seeing joan steffend`s down to earth approach to decorating, her segment on using your own furniture with no extra money and at the end the salvage yard`s finds turned into amazing decorative pieces. I check every week in hopes she`s back then I switch over to another network. Bring her back or slowly you`ll be losing viewers like me.

I so miss Joan Steffend and Decorating Cents. So many of the HGTV hosts are phony and/or too edgy. Joan was always pleasant, helpful and informative. Please bring back Decorating Cents.

It is sad to watch hgtv without Joan Steffand and room by room the viewers have no say in what comes on this channel. Why not something down to earth. Everything is so upscale what about ordinary people??? Why isn`t anyone saying what happemed to Joan Steffend!!!! I miss decorating cents so much!!

What has happened to HGTV? It has become Realestate TV. Cut back on the buy, sell, rent and rental property shows Mix it up with the down to earth affordable decorating shows, like DC and room by room ect. WAKE UP! You are losing viewers. JO

I would like to know why the show was dropped. Was Joan looking to do something else, or does HGTV not realize how many fans she has. I miss the show and her warmpth. And I also miss Sensibly Chic. Down to earth shows are good for all us who are down to earth. There are some good shows on now, but I hope HGTV doesn`t forget who their viewers are. We are not all looking to buy a new house.

Joan, I really miss u not being on HGTV. Decorating Cents was the very first show I watched on HGTV. I saw Verne Yip get his start on your show. Please come back so I can get some decorating ideas that don`t cost me an arm and a leg.

Please bring back Joan and Decorating Cents. I love this show and Joan was the best host on HGTV by far. The shows on now are so boring that now I watch more DIY than HGTV. Joan had the BEST designers, the show was so creative and enjoyable to watch. Please Bring Back Joan And Decorating Cents!!!

I agree with everyone...Joan was so great to watch, her show and her designers were so great...we could relate to them, not all these people with lots of money to spend on decorating...please, please bring back the show. If Joan has retired, bless her, but please bring back the show with all her designers!

this is for the people at hgtv----please put decorating cents back on! This was a favorite of mine from the first time I viewed it. My day was not complete until I had my decorating cents fix. Why tamper with the good stuff? Joan Steffend was home to me and millions of other viewers.

Bring back Joan Steffend! Decorating Sense was great! Down to earth, affordable and doable. Also felt the same way about Nancy Golden. Everything seems the same on HGTV and limited decorating shows. Not as much fun to watch sadly.

I can not believe how far off the mark you guys are getting from what made you a must have in my home.... i`m not moving and i do not live in LA so i have no chance to get anyone to come to Indiana to re-do my house so i have all but stopped watching your station... get back to the good stuff.. Decorating Cents and Room by Room... so many others that have been canceled.... wake up guys you are losing viewers hand over fist.... the girls at work say they never watch anymore either! Fix it!

I miss Decorating Cents also. I`m tired of all the first time homebuyer shows and the buy a house/sell your house. This is boring stuff. Bring back the decorating shows, especially this one!!

we too miss seeing joan and decorating cents! there are a few shows we still like but I have to agree that there are way to many hours of house hunters and sell/buy houses. lets do get back to decorating and bring back joan!!

DC was my favorite show and Joan Steffend made it work. Now all we see are real estate shows and $40,000 and up makeovers. Who can`t design a room for that? Try it on $500. Bring back Joan.

I REALLY DON`T CARE TO WATCH HGTV NOW THAT ALL THE GOOD DECORATING SHOWS ARE GOOD.JOAN WAS THE VERY BEST WITH DC. NANCY GOLDEN WAS ALSO GREAT. RATINGS REALLY DON`T MATTER. THE SHOW(S) WERE THE TOPS AND YOU STILL REMOVED THEM. BOO ON YOUR RATINGS FOR YOUR CURRENT SHOWS!!!!

I love Joan and DC. Now HGTV is horrible. I don`t like house hunting, first time buyers, etc. Joan was smart, savvy and fun to watch. She has it, they lost it!

I used to be an HGTV junkie-I`d turn it on and have it on all day while I was home in the summer. My favorite show was decorating cents. Now I don`t watch HGTV at all-what a disapointing line up...who wants to watch hours and hours of House Hunters? YUCK!!! Except for Candice Olsen, everything else is BORING!!! Too much of the same stuff over and over. I miss you Joan! I wish all of the former HGTV stars would get together and create a new TV channel-it would run HGTV off the air...
