Gianfranco Zola, OBE, Ufficiale OMRI (born 5 July 1966) is an Italian former footballer who is currently the manager of English club Watford. He spent the first decade of his playing career playing in Italy, most notably with Napoli, alongside Diego Maradona and Careca, and at Parma, before moving to English side Chelsea, where he was voted Football Writers' Player of the Year in 1997 and Chelsea's greatest player ever. He was capped 35 times for Italy, before beginning his managerial career with West Ham United after a stint with the Italian U-21s. He was confirmed as Watford manager in July 2012.
