Andrew Neal Allanson (born December 22, 1961), is a former professional baseball catcher who played in the Major Leagues for eight seasons, from 1986 to 1995. Andy was signed as a second-round pick in the 1983 amateur draft, by the Cleveland Indians and scout Bobby Malkmus. Allanson was an exceptional defensive receiver with a powerful throwing arm, who would sometimes throw to the bases without standing up.
