Walter John Mueller (born December 6, 1894 in central, Missouri – August 16, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri) was a professional baseball player who played outfield in the Major Leagues, for the Pittsburgh Pirates, from 1922 to 1926. He is best known for becoming the first player to hit a home run off the first pitch ever thrown to him in the major leagues.
