To k`la: "Why did Thomas Edison die for? What was his reason" I`m not quite sure what you are asking, other than that Thomas Edison didn`t die for anything like a cause for what he believed in. He died at the age of 84. To kendyll: mind your manners.

Thomas Edison`s other claim to fame is the phonograph. He invented the tin foil phonograph in 1877, and demonstrated to President Rutherford B. Hayes. He also invented the kintoscope movie-camera, made movies at the black maria, named after the black police wagons of the day, invented the incandescent light bulb. Friends with Henry Ford, leading automobile maker of the Model T (1908-1927)and later on the Model A.
