Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO (Richard Alexander Walter George; born 26 August 1944) is the youngest grandchild of George V of the United Kingdom and Mary of Teck. He has been Duke of Gloucester since his father's death in 1974. He is currently 21st in the line of succession. The Duke of Gloucester carries out royal engagements on behalf of his cousin, Queen Elizabeth II.
