A Summer Story is a 1988 British drama film directed by Piers Haggard and starring James Wilby, Imogen Stubbs and Susannah York. In 1922, a man recalls the love affair he enjoyed with a woman before the First World War. The film is based on the John Galsworthy story The Apple Tree.
