Jamie Farr did NOT play Evil-Eye Fleagle . The part was played by Al Nesor (b.1911 d.1999). He was a character actor in the 50`s and 60`s. Mostly doing bit parts. He DOES bear a strong resemblance to Jamie, though. (Check IMDB for more details. Also, The role of Lil` Abner in the `59 movie was played by Peter Palmer.

Li'l Abner is a 1959 musical film based on the comic strip of the same name created by Al Capp. It was also based on a successful Broadway musical that opened in 1956. The movie was produced by Norman Panama and directed by Melvin Frank (co-writers of the Broadway production).
