Singapore is a 1947 American romance film directed by John Brahm and starring Fred MacMurray, Ava Gardner and Roland Culver. An American adventurer returns to Singapore to recover a horde of pearls he stashed there during the Second World War. While there he becomes entangled with a mysterious, alluring woman. It was remade in 1957 as Istanbul with the location moved to Turkey.
