Wikipedia

The Battle of the Villa Fiorita is a 1965 British drama film, based on the novel by Rumer Godden, directed by Delmer Daves. It stars Maureen O'Hara and Rossano Brazzi. Set in contemporary Italy, it tells of two children aware that their mother has left them for a lover and both stay at the Villa Fiorita. They go there to get their mother back. They join forces with a third child, the daughter of their mother's lover, a famous Italian composer, to manipulate the woman into returning to England. A hunger strike by the girls ensues which fails but triggers events almost leading to disaster for one of them.
