Surrogates is a 2009 American science fiction-action film, based on the 20052006 comic book series of the same name. Directed by Jonathan Mostow, it stars Bruce Willis as FBI Agent Tom Greer who ventures out into the real world to investigate the murder of surrogates, Radha Mitchell plays Greer's partner Agent Peters, Rosamund Pike plays Greer's wife Maggie, Boris Kodjoe as Greer and Peters' boss Stone, with Ving Rhames as the anti-surrogate religious leader Prophet, and James Cromwell as the creator of the surrogates Lionel Canter. Surrogates was released on September 25, 2009 in the United States and Canada. It was released by Touchstone Pictures.
