I first saw the movie at the theater at 6 years old. I was starting the 2nd grade. My mom wanted me to get an early education of the theatrical version of school life. To this day it is one of my favorite and most memorable films.

hi my name is jon i,m 38 my father was a manager of transport and recovery bob paterson at tims company in richmond i spent many weekends at the yard as a boy with my brothers in the family we have a photo of my dad and tim in front of the bus

I am not sure where the bus was going during filming of TSWL, but the scenes were in London docklands. There is no truth in the suggestion that LLU 829 was picked because of Lulu the singer, it was pure coincidence. The bus was at that time owned by Tim Lewis, owner of Continental Pioneer of Richmond, a coach operator. The bus was one that I travelled around Richmon on many times in the period 1968-71. In 1987 I bought the bus as an open-topper and resyored in during 1988-93. It has been on loan to the East Anglia Transport Museum, Lowestoft, since 1996, but remains in my ownership. llu 829 the bus seen in this film, was it picked because of the reg LLU, A PLAY ON LULU

To Sir, with Love is a 1967 British drama film starring Sidney Poitier that deals with social and racial issues in an inner city school. James Clavell both directed and wrote the film's screenplay, based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by E. R. Braithwaite.
