Deadman (typeset as deadman) was a nagoya kei rock band led by guitarist Aie. Founded in 2000, the band gained notoriety for popularizing the nagoya kei sub-genre of visual kei, which is a lot "darker" than most visual kei, and has its roots in Nagoya, Japan). Deadman quickly became known for Mako's heavily melancholic lyrical themes, with the music itself touching on alternative rock in sound. The group disbanded in 2006 for unknown reasons.
