I saw Dwight for the first time in concert at the Horseshoe Casino in MS and he was AMAZING!!! I am a life-time fan of his and was thrilled to be there. I love his music.

I know that Dwight dated someone many years ago for a very long time and I think that he never got over her. That is why he never married. She was not famous. They remain very close friends.

I LOST CONTACT WITH DWIGHT,WHEN I ENTERED THE MILITARY,HAVE NOT SEEN OR TALKED TO HIM SINCE.WE WERE GOOD FRIENDS AS I WAS A FEW YEARS OLDER IN THAN HIM IN KENTUCKY,I LIVED OUT IN THE HILLS AROUND THE WEBBVILLE AREA.WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM AND GET OUR FRINDSHIP AGAIN STARTED. years ago Dwight was a guest on a country talk show guest of Gary Chapman host his parents were in the audiance they were introduced as his mother and stepfather so is his real father deceased or are the parents divorced nothing is every mentioned about his father in the present

Dwight David Yoakam (born October 23, 1956) is an American singer-songwriter, actor and film director, most famous for his pioneering country music. Popular since the early 1980s, he has recorded more than 21 albums and compilations, charted more than 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and sold more than 25 million records.
