In 1984 I met Elizabeth Taylor`s recently retired publicist on Clearwater Beach in Florida. He mentioned she detests being called or referred to as Liz. The press has always referred to her by that nickname. Many of your commenters have used that name. Out of respect, call or refer to her as Elizabeth. Got that?

it is a blessing that liz is still with us. as we can see from as the photographs of liz husbands and dates Richard Burton was the most handsome and suitable mate for liz. liz is wonderful because she went beyond looks and looked at what a person is truly made of from the inside. there will never be another elizabeth taylor .

Yo tengo una curiosidad en relacion a la asistencia de Elizabeth Taylor a las ceremonias del Oscar, asistio la bella actriz a la ceremonia de 1959, cuando la nominaron por su actuacion soberbia en La gata sobre el tejado caliente , si asistio a dicha ceremonia me encantaria que pongan una foto.

Hace un buen tiempo lei en un libro dedicado a los premios Oscar, que Elizabeth Taylor era para el oscar lo que el Nilo para Egipto, porque había asistido a 15 ceremonias, entre nominada e invitada presentadora, pero yo que soy gran seguidor de tan bella actriz, solo he visto fotos de 11 presentaciones, las de los anos 1949,1954,1957,1960,1961,1970,1974,1976,1987,1992 y 1993, donde le dieron su ultimo oscar.Quisiera saber si realmente asistio 15 veces a dicha ceremonia, alguien me podria ayudar

Elizabeth Taylor has always been my favorite actress and always will be. I adored her so much my second daughter looked like her when she was born. I have 9 grands and 3 greats and three of them are named Elizabeth and one is Taylor. I am a real fan of hers. She is the greatest!

To the person who said that Larry Fortensky was like Eddie Fisher-just had to set you straight. Eddie had lots of money when he left Debbie for Liz. No matter what you think of him for doing something stupid like that, he did not need Liz for money. He had his own and a very good career which he threw away for her. She was not worth it. I pity Liz these days, her days of living it up has caught up with her.

all i can say is Elizabeth Taylor love to get married,am sure the lady was about to get married again a few months ago,i think she fell sick on her wedding day,i do not know if she went through with it after she go better,do not get me wrong,i love the lady she was a good actress,and also was very beautiful.she can have my vote any time.

It is interesting that her dating Forbes is missing. I don`t remember the year but since Forbes lived in Bernadsville, NJ (where I went to private school and not far from my parent`s house), I well remember their escapades and the massive party he had for her.

Oops, most of my comment was lost in cyber-space. Ann, there are 3 factors you may wish to consider- 1. Liz was drop-dead-gorgeous in the 1950s. She didn`t need influence nor gold for her conquests. 2. Debbie Reynolds was the super-popular "America`s Sweetheart" when Eddie Fisher dumped her for Liz. Unless his IQ was below double digits, he had to know he was going to harm his career. 3. Most celebrities have always used each other for financial or popularity gains.

Just like Eddie Fisher, Fortensky wanted to further his chances in life by using Elizabeth Taylor`s fame. He was a low-class, low-life stupid golddiger. Dishonest bum. Period. His record stands on it`s own. For that matter John Warner used her too to get elected to te US senate.
