Sad Love Story (Hangul: 슬픈연가; RR: Seul-peun Yeon-ga; lit. Sad Love Song or Sad Sonata) is a 2005 South Korean television series starring Kwon Sang-woo, Kim Hee-sun and Yeon Jung-hoon. Partly shot overseas with a budget of ₩7 billion, it was one of the most expensive Korean dramas of the mid-2000s. It received low ratings in South Korea, but attracted more attention when it was exported to Japan and other Asian countries due to its stars' Korean wave appeal.
