Biography
Deven Sommer Marrero (born August 25, 1990 in Miami, Florida) is a professional baseball player in the Boston Red Sox system. He played college baseball shortstop at Arizona State University. He was considered a top prospect for the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft and was drafted in the 1st round by the Boston Red Sox. Marrero was previously drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 17th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He began his career with the Lowell Spinners in the New York–Penn League.
