Avenue were a boy band on the British TV show The X Factor, but were banned from participation for having been specifically formed for the competition and having professional representation. They continue to proclaim their innocence. After leaving The X Factor, they continued together as a musical act and had brief success with the single "Last Goodbye", which reached the UK top 50. After the split, Max George went on to become a member of the British-Irish boyband The Wanted, which went on to become one of Britain’s biggest pop bands, releasing a number of top 5 hits, 2 official UK #1s, 2 top 5 albums and one #1 in America. Jamie Tinkler left to form the indie band Baxter, and his replacement in Avenue, Andy Brown, went on to be the lead singer in UK band Lawson, who have released two top 5 singles.
