Abrar Fahad (12 February 1998 – 7 October 2019) was a Bangladeshi university student who died following severe torture by members of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student wing of the Awami League party. The assault was allegedly motivated by a Facebook post in which he criticized Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s state visit to India.
