Aftab Ahmed Khan IPS (1940 – 21 January 2022) was an Indian Police Service officer, turned politician from Mumbai, India, noted for his encounter killings of gangsters from the Mumbai organized crime syndicates. He is also known as the founder of Anti-terrorism Squad (ATS) in 1990, inspired from the Los Angeles Police Department's Special Weapons & Tactics (SWAT).
