Ahmed Etman (Arabic: أحمد عتمان) is an academic and translator, who was born in Egypt in 1945. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Department of Greek and Latin Studies, Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. He translated many Greek books and enriched the Arabic library a lot. He was honored by Greece in recognition of his efforts, and was chosen as an ambassador for Greek civilization. He founded and chaired the Egyptian association for Greek and Roman Studies and was its official representative in the International Federation of associations.
