Air Commodore Joseph Aidan MacCarthy, OBE, GM (19 March 1913 – 11 October 1995) was an Irish doctor of the Royal Air Force and a prisoner of war to the Japanese during the Second World War. He is also known for surviving the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.
