Dr. Alastair Carmichael MacWillson is a British cyber security professional, chair of the Institute of Information Security Professionals and Qufaro, founding director of Cambridge Analytica and principal at the Chertoff Group. He spent 17 years in Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service, working on technical and political risk analysis in the post-Soviet states, Middle East and United States. He returned to the United Kingdom in late 1989 and the next year published a book entitled Hostage-Taking Terrorism.
