In summer 2011, Baldwin began dating Hilaria Thomas, an instructor with Yoga Vida in Manhattan. Baldwin and Thomas moved from the Upper West Side to Greenwich Village that August. The couple became engaged in April 2012 and married on June 30, 2012, at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in New York City. They have one daughter together, Carmen Gabriela Baldwin, born in August 2013.

The actor, 55, and wife Hilaria, 29, welcomed daughter Carmen Gabriela Baldwin on Friday, Aug. 23, Hilaria Tweeted.
“We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter. She is absolutely perfect,” the new mom writes.
Already dad to daughter Ireland, 17, Alec and the EXTRA special correspondent announced in February they were expecting their first child together. On January 1, 2015, they announced they were expecting baby #2.
March 2016 they announced they were expecting baby number 3.
In April 2019, Thomas announced that she was pregnant with the couple's fifth child; later that month she confirmed a miscarriage, saying she wanted to be part of normalizing and removing the stigma of miscarriage.
In September 2019, the couple announced that Hilaria was again pregnant, but in November 2019, the couple announced that Hilaria had suffered a second miscarriage.
