Alexander Zhamoida (Алекса́ндр Ива́нович Жамойда; 5 December 1921 – 28 May 2021) was a Soviet and Russian scientist-geologist, a specialist in the field of stratigraphy, paleontology, regional geology, and geological cartography. He was a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1987). Zhamoida died on 28 May 2021, aged 99.
