Allan Combs (born 6 November 1942) is the Doshi Professor of Consciousness Studies and Director of The Center for Consciousness Studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He is also the President of the Society for Consciousness Studies and Director of Consciousness Studies master's degree program at the Graduate Institute of Connecticut. His background is in consciousness studies, neuralpsychology, and systems sciences. Combs is Professor Emeritus at the University of North Carolina-Asheville. Combs is author or co-author of over 200 articles, chapters, and books on consciousness and the brain. He is the founder of The Society for Consciousness Studies, co-founder of The Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology and the Life Sciences, a member of The General Evolution Research Group, and the one-hundred member Club of Budapest.
