They dated, roughly, from August 1937 to May 1938. Andrea then dated Ken Murray, so they were not together at the time of his death. The press reported that she was shaken to the core when he died, and that he was somebody special for her.
However, she also noted that despite that, she had never been truly in love, and she was waiting for the right one. Just a year later, she married Robert Howard, and the marriage lasted for more than 20 years.
