Andrzej Łobaczewski (1921–2007) was a Polish psychiatrist who synthesized the research of a group of underground Eastern European scientists that included Kazimierz Dąbrowski, Stefan Szuman, and Stefan Błachowski, among many other anonymous contributors. Their work was a scientific study of a system of government they came to call pathocracy, in which individuals with personality disorders (especially psychopathy) occupy positions of power and influence. The result is a totalitarian system characterized by a government turned against its own people.
