Azerbaijan Madievich Mambetov (Kazakh: Әзірбайжан Мәдиұлы Мәмбетов; 2 September 1932 — 17 November 2009) was a Soviet and Kazakhstani stage and screen director and educator. His awards include People's Hero of Kazakhstan (2000), People's Artist of the USSR (1976), and the USSR State Prize (1974).
