They say music hath charms to soothe a savage beast but, as it turns out, all Yohan ‘The Beast’ Blake really needs is his Ashley.
Blake – who recently returned to the island with a couple of Olympic silver medals and a string of Diamond League titles – looked every bit the handsome fellow in love at a welcome-home soiree put on in his honour by mobile giants LIME at the Fiction nightclub over the weekend.
At the intimate event, where Blake was presented with a specially-designed cake and a framed Clovis drawing, the gorgeous young lovebirds – beaming ear to ear – graciously posed for photos together and even shared a sweet little champagne moment. Young love blooms. Among those in attendance were Yohan’s devoutly Christian parents, Veda and Shirley Blake, and such VIPs as sports minister Natalie Neita-Headley, Chris Dehring, Garry Sinclair, Popcaan and Simon Crosskill.
A few sources have confided to TALLAWAH that the 22-year-old sprinter and Ashley Bent had been getting close prior to his departure for the London Summer Games – and are now officially an inseparable pair. “She makes him happy. They are really into each other,” a source whispered to me. “Things are getting really serious. He’s been spending a lot of time with her.”
