B. D. Satoskar (26 March 1909 – 27 November 2000) was an Indian historian, freedom fighter, publisher and journalist. Born in Marcel, Goa, he has authored many books in Marathi as well as in the Konkani language. He is best known for Gomantak prakriti ani Sanskriti (Goa:Nature and Culture, volumes I-III), an encyclopedic work on history and culture of Goa and the Goans. This work was republished on occasion of his birth centenary, in March 2009.
