Courtney Love and Billy Corgan have casually dated on and off for a number of years and have also musically collaborated together. They first dated in 1989, ending it in 1991 when things became more serious between Love and Kurt Cobain.
Following Cobain's death, there were rumours that the couple had an affair during a 1994 July - September Lollapalooza tour.
In 2006 Corgan moved into a wing of Love's house for a number of months, and in 2007 they were photographed at a Los Angeles film première being intimate with one another.
During 2008 Love publicly criticised Corgan for failing to attend her daughter Frances' sixteenth birthday party. Corgan said of Love in 2010, "I have no interest in supporting her in any way, shape or form. You can't throw enough things down the abyss with a person like that".
He also attacked her via Twitter for using songs he had written without his permission on the Hole album 'Nobody's Daughter'. Love issued an apology on Facebook, however Corgan continued to attack her in his Tweets. Love eventually said, "All i am is nice about you so if you wanna be mean be mean i dont feel anything. i have too much to feel dear."
