Bishop Harris (November 23, 1941 – May 29, 2024) was an American football coach whose career spanned more than 30 years at both the collegiate and professional levels. He was the 16th head football coach at North Carolina Central University located in Durham, North Carolina, a position he held from 1991 until 1992, compiling an overall college football record of sevens wins and 14 losses. Harris also served as an assistant coach in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons, including stints with the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers. Harris died in Greensboro, North Carolina on May 29, 2024, at the age of 82.
