Brad Mears (born December 24, 1970) is a University of Central Missouri professor and a retired American shot putter, who won the gold medal at the 1999 Pan American Games. His personal best throw is 21.30 meters (69 feet 10.5 inches), achieved in May 1999 in Greeley. He has earned a Doctorate in Pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado in 2000, his Masters from the University of Central Missouri in 1997 and his Bachelors degree from Central Missouri State University in 1994. He is a 1989 graduate of Neosho High School, Neosho Missouri.
